What is GB Pockit Plus Stroller
GB Pockit Plus stroller is an improved version of the original and highly popular GB Pockit which was named the most compact stroller by the Guinness World Records in 2014. Some parents dislike that it takes two hands to fold it and the seat does not incline straight. Despite its downfalls, this stroller is sturdy, light-weight and aesthetically appealing.

Features We Love
The GB Pockit Plus is packed full of features that make this stroller a great investment. This is not an exhaustive list of all the features, but these are some of my favorites.
Compact and Lightweight
The compact design makes it perfect for travel. It easily fits in the plane overhead compartment.
In our most recent trip to the Philippines, we were boarded on the plane without issues. I’m so happy that the airlines considered the stroller as hand-carry. It is so small that it fits under the seat.
We didn’t have to go through the hassle of gate checks or a long wait at the baggage area. Plus, no more dirty or damaged strollers!
We had a layover at NAIA International Airport before we headed to take our next flight to Bacolod. With the GB Pockit Plus stroller, we were able to navigate through the airport immigration and checks swiftly.
This stroller is super lightweight at 13 lbs. (6 kg.). Carrying it up the stairs was manageable. I was concerned that the quality may be dodgy because of the weight. Surprisingly, I found that this is not true. This stroller is well-made.
If you don’t want to carry it around by hand, you can buy the GB Pockit Travel Bag. Another option is to get a backpack or fabric shopping tote for added convenience.
Roomy Seat
GB Pockit Plus seats are cushioned and roomy for kids up to 6 years old. Keep in mind though that the maximum weight it can carry is 55 pounds. It is best to discontinue using the stroller once your child exceeds the weight limitations.
Seth loves that he has a comfortable place to sit and take naps when he needs to. I would sometimes joke about selling this stroller away and he would cry. That’s how much he loves his GB Pockit Plus stroller which he lovingly calls “strolley”.
Every good stroller should have a reclining seat and an adjustable five-point harness. I’m thrilled that the GB Pockit Plus has both of these features.
There are two ways to adjust the backrest. For a mid-level recline, you can use the strap by pulling the built-in clip. If you want a fully-reclined backrest, unzip the zipper on the top of the backrest.
Decent Size Canopy
The canopy is wide enough to protect kids from the sun and provide shade when kids are napping. It’s made of UPF 50+ fabric. For those who do not know what UPF means, it stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. It acts as a sunscreen but in fabric form. A UPF 50+ fabric means the GB Pockit Plus canopy can block up to 98 percent of the sun’s harmful rays.
We purchased the Satin Black color because dark-colored fabrics absorb UV rays.
2-Step Fold Mechanism
GB Pockit Plus folds and unfolds easily with its 2-step fold mechanism. I’ve seen a few strollers that have a one-touch fold system but they are not as small as GB Pockit Plus when folded. With this stroller, there is no complicated assembly of latches and bars to remember.
GB Pockit Plus also has an auto-lock that prevents the stroller from opening while in storage or transport.
It helps to see this part demonstrated. Haha. So, here’s a video from someone showing you how it’s folded.
Smooth Steering
GB Pockit Plus has swivel front wheels which make maneuvering through tight spaces easy peasy.
In our most recent trip to Armenia, we’ve taken it for a test drive in Yerevan’s busy street. Cruising through corners of supermarkets, restaurants and other stores was a breeze with this stroller.
It has smooth steering even with narrow aisles.
The wheels have breaks for rough or uneven terrains. We haven’t tried using this stroller on the beach and mountain trail. It would be great to test this out.
Durable & Water-resistant Fabric
The GP Pockit Plus seat is made of durable neoprene fabric. That makes it water, grease, weather and UV rays resistant. The fabric is removable for washing although it is really not necessary.
A damp cloth with water and a mild soap is sufficient to clean the seat. It is best to avoid bleach or other harsh products when cleaning this stroller. The seats will dry up quickly when you wipe it with an absorbent towel or cloth.
Neoprene’s spongy thickness also provides additional warmth, and cushion to the seat.
Compatible with Infants
Yes, GB Pockit Plus is compatible with newborns. You can purchase the necessary accessories like carrycots and car seats from Amazon.
Drawbacks to Consider Before Buying
Handlebar
Some parents find the handles too low. We have not had problems with the height though. Yet, it would be great if the handlebars are adjustable to fit those who are on the taller side.
I suggest that you test it out. It should comfortably fit your height and gait so that you don’t have to lean when pushing the stroller.
Needs Extra Storage and Cup Holder
Less important, but certainly nice to have are cup holders and storage space on the handlebar. It would be more convenient if we can keep sippy cups, water bottles and other things in easy reach.
If this is a feature that you need in a stroller, you can buy a storage bag to hang off the back of the stroller. But keep in mind that this is a lightweight stroller. It could tip over backward if you keep too much stuff on it.
Storage Basket
GB Pockit Plus has a storage basket under the seat. It is a bit tiny for people like us who want to keep larger items such as diaper bags or groceries. The weight limitation for the storage basket is 10 lbs. So, we only keep a few baby essentials inside.
We are seldom out just strolling. Most of the time we are running errands or visiting friends. So for us, a storage basket is an important feature.
Bottom Line
Overall, the GB Pockit Plus is definitely worth the investment. It’s high-quality, travel-friendly and convenient. It is an awesome foldable stroller that can be used from newborn to 6 years. Imagine the savings you can get from a stroller that grows with your child.
The technology used to make GB Pockit Plus is still top-notch compared to other strollers in the market.
With that said, I’m definitely bringing this stroller the next time we travel. The GB Pockit Plus stroller is convenient to push around at airports, malls, and theme parks.
Disneyland here we come! Haha!
